My Super Secret Silky Skin Recipe...

…drink more water! Ta-dah!!

I know it may seem obvious, yet 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated according to a survey conducted by New York Hospital and Cornell Medical University. Water is one of the most important nutritional gifts we can give our skin and our bodies. I think part of the reason we don’t drink more water is because water is so…well…boring. So let’s spruce it up a little! To add some zest to your water, add fruit, veggies, or herbs. Some of my favorites are lemon, oranges, strawberries, cucumbers, ginger, mint, and basil. You can use just one extra ingredient, or mix it up! Here’s one recipe to get your juices going…

Strawberry, Lemon, & Basil Water

  • 5 cups water

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 1/2 cup strawberries stemmed & sliced

  • 5 fresh basil leaves, torn

  • 1 lemon thinly sliced

Let your ingredients sit in a pitcher of water overnight, in the fridge or on the countertop. Consume within 4 hours.
