Recipes: Simple Green Drinks
With all this talk about green and organic the past couple of weeks, I wanted to share a couple of my favorite green drink recipes with you. Both of these drinks feature a product from our new Nutrilite Organics line - so both are healthy, but both are also delicious!
Super Simple Green Smoothie
We’ve talked at length in this blog about convenience being so important to actualizing a healthy diet. As such, rather than giving you my fanciest smoothie recipe, I’ll give you my simplest, and the one I use 80%
of the time. It’s easy to make, tastes great, my kids love it, and it’s so simple my 5 year old can even make it for us if I’m running out of time!
1 serving vanilla plant protein powder
12 ounces water or milk (I love coconut milk)
1 cup frozen pineapple
4 cups spinach
Blend together and voila! It’s the perfect breakfast or midday snack. You’ll be amazed how great you feel when you power up with plant-powered nutrition!
Our new green superfood powder tastes great on it’s own, but if you’re looking to jazz it up, try this delicious and healthful mocktail! Pineapple is an excellent source of vitamins b and C, manganese and iron, while ginger does wonders for your digestion and adds a spicy warmth to this tasty beverage.
8 ounces water or sparkling water
1 tablespoon freshly juiced lemon or lime
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 serving green superfood powder
Optional garnishes: lemon slice, lime slice, pineapple slice, or berries.
Mix it up, serve over ice, and enjoy!
